Frequently Asked Questions
Do you see children?
Of course! Our Portage team loves seeing patients of all ages, and we’ve got friendly, comforting natures that will help children feel right at home. We offer several kid-friendly services that will be sure to help their growing smiles stay strong and bright.
Do I really have to visit Advanced Dental Concepts twice a year?
You don’t HAVE to, but we strongly recommend attending a professional checkup and cleaning every six months. This is the best way for our dentists to catch troubling concerns at their earliest stages and help you maintain excellent oral health.
What exactly is periodontal disease?
Periodontal disease is more commonly known as gum disease, and it’s a very common oral infection that begins when plaque and tartar build up around the gum line. If these accumulations are left untreated for too long, the soft tissue will begin to deteriorate and pull away from the teeth, leading to severe consequences for the patient’s smile. Thankfully, our team offers effective periodontal therapies that can eliminate harmful bacteria from the mouth and revitalize oral health.
Visiting the dentist makes me nervous. Can you help?
Yes! Patient comfort is very important to us, and we offer sedation dentistry techniques that can help take the edge off of negative emotions and create a much more relaxing atmosphere for your treatment.
Do you see dental emergencies?
Of course. Dr. Hayes and Dr. Mousa are always here when you need them most, and they strive to accommodate emergency situations as soon as possible so that the patient can experience immediate relief. Please contact our Portage, IN location right away for assistance, and we will do everything we can to see you on that same day. Additionally, if you are unable to visit in-person, our team can provide first-aid assistance over the phone.
Do you take dental insurance?
Advanced Dental Concepts is an in-network provider for Delta Dental Premier, and we can also file claims for virtually any other PPO insurance plan.
